A central component of an individual security concept is a modern alarm system built according to established standards. It detects unauthorized activity, triggers visible and/or audible alerts, and can, if necessary, initiate further actions such as notifying the nearest police station or sending an SMS to the absent owner.

While the use of alarm systems is already standard practice in many European countries and in North America, Germany is still lagging behind in this regard, says Mario Pichelmaier from Amper Ausfperrdienst in Munich.
